BalletCollective, a New York City-based arts organization that connects artists, composers, and choreographers, has chosen Kathrin Linkersdorff as the Source Artist for an upcoming ballet. Using Linkersdorff's body of work as inspiration, choreographer Omar Román De Jesús and composer Robert Honstein have created an original ballet exploring themes of probability and chance, an excerpt of which will premiere at Yossi Milo the evening of September 8, 2023, during the opening reception of Linkersdorff's solo exhibition Fairies.
Later this year, the full ballet will be performed by seven New York City Ballet dancers at Trinity Commons from October 31 through November 2, 2023. Find out more on BalletCollective's website.
