Recently acquired works by Marco Breuer are on view in Collecting Photography: From Daguerreotype to Digital at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, UK, from October 12, 2018 – September 4, 2020. The inaugural exhibition in the V&A’s new Photography Centre explores photography as a way of ‘collecting the world’. Works by Matthew Brandt, Marco Breuer, John Chiara, Chris McCaw, Meghann Riepenhoff, Alison Rossiter and Mark Ruwedel were included in New Territory: Landscape Photography Today, on view at Denver Art Museum from June 24 – September 16, 2018. Challenging Terrain gathers photographic works by international artists that demonstrate unconventional and innovative new approaches to representing the landscape in photography. Work by Marco Breuer was presented in Abstract Photography from the Permanent Collection at The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, NY, through October 2017. The exhibition presented works by seven artists whose abstractions serve as physical records of the artists’ actions rather than capturing decisive moments in time.
